Comodo's Unified Communications Certificates allow a single certificate to provide SSL-secured communications for multiple domains and multiple host names operating on a single IP address. Offering UC Certificates will make your customer’s application server implementation and administration easier and more flexible than ever before.
Traditional SSL certificates provide security for a single fully-qualified domain name. Wildcard certificates can cover all first-level sub domains of a domain. However, a single UCC can support many different domains within a single certificate!

Comodo's Unified Communications Certificates allow a single certificate to provide SSL-secured communications for multiple domains and multiple

- Provide SSL Support Where a Wildcard SSL Won’t
UC Certificates provide SSL support for Microsoft Exchange 2007 and Office Communications Server 2007 where traditional or wildcard certificates won't. They are more secure than wildcard certificates since UC Certificates
specify exactly which hosts and domains are to be protected and are more flexible than wildcard certificates since UC Certificates aren't limited to a single domain. For instance, a wildcard certificate can protect all first-level
subdomains on an entire domain, such as *.example.com. But a wildcard cannot protect both www.example.com and www.example.net.
- Simplify Certificate Management
Greatly simplify your Exchange Server 2007 SSL configuration with a single certificate to support multiple domain names, host names and server applications. Using a UC certificate saves you the hassle and time involved in
configuring multiple IP addresses on your Exchange 2007 server, binding each IP address to a different certificate, and running a lot of low level PowerShell commands just to piece it all together.
For example, one UC certificate can be used to secure the following Exchange Server 2007 domains: mycompany.com, owa.mycompany.com, mail.mycompany.com, smtp.mydomain.com, autodiscovery.mycompany.com, mail.mycompany-internal.com
- Trust
UC Certificates are fully trusted by 99% of email clients and web-browsers.
- Unlimited Certificate Re-issuance
You can have the certificate re-issued for free whenever you need to remove or change domain names.
- Robust Margins
Highly competitive per-domain pricing makes Comodo UC certificates a more cost effective and efficient means of securing multiple hostnames, representing a lucrative sales opportunity to our partners.
